- When you begin to feel a bit of dissatisfaction, this can be an indicator that there is a part of you that has already moved forward, and is saying to the rest of you, “Come on, come on, let’s go.”
- Once you recognize that it is an indicator, you can call on us or any helpful beings to say, “OK, so I’m not feeling so satisfied with this job. What can I do about that?”
Dissatisfaction as An Indicator to Expand
Whenever you endeavor to bring a broader, greater, more vibrant energy into your life, one will tend to look around oneself and say, “Well, I don’t like this or that, or this is holding me back or this cannot bring me benefit.” These kinds of things. We would just point out that this is indeed a healthy feeling, for it is just an indicator that you are ready to expand. You are ready to be more than you were allowing yourself to be, or maybe had the opportunity to be beforehand.
So in the same way that you may have observed, either in yourself or with a child or with someone else, that when they are very, very sick, they are just so grateful when you bring them a drink – or whatever it is. But as they begin to feel better, they become a little bit cranky. Have you all noticed this happening? (yes)
So this is just an indicator that they are actually feeling better. They are not as much fun to take care of at that point, but it is an indication that there is a shift that is happening. So likewise, in your own lives, when you begin to feel a bit of dissatisfaction, this can be an indicator that there is a part of you that has already moved forward, and is saying to the rest of you, “Come on, come on, let’s go.” Have you felt this? (yes)
We just wanted to put that into a context, because one can get into a mode where we think that certain emotions are positive good emotions and certain emotions are not so good. They’re considered bad, or things we should somehow “make them stop being that.”
We would like to put forth the idea that these can be indicators for you. You can say, “Aha! So I’m not so happy with that job anymore (or something like that). Well, maybe that’s telling me something. Maybe I don’t need to change the job, but I am ready for a change.
It might be the job. Or it might be how I act in the job or how I hold the job in my mind. Maybe the job is not going to be the be-all and end-all of my life. Maybe the job is just going to be something that will facilitate, something that will keep me on a regular schedule so that I can grow and do the things I want to do and have the finances to do that. So you see, it could be just a reorientation to the job. It could be a new job. But either way, it’s not being as satisfying anymore.
So it is an indicator that there is a change.
In that case, once you recognize that it is an indicator, you can call on us or any helpful beings to say, “OK, so I’m not feeling so satisfied with this job. What can I do about that?” Then who knows what kinds of impressions might come to you. Is this making sense to you all? We hope that might be helpful to some of you in attendance. It’s not necessarily a job, but it could be any number of things.
